Quaker Lake Camp is launching a capital campaign to build the Quaker Lake Camp Airnasium—a covered outdoor shelter designed for play and worship. The Airnasium will provide a gathering space for worship, games, and other all-camp activities, while protecting campers on rainy and extremely hot days.

What is an Airnasium?

  • A covered outdoor structure—open-air sides, full roof—designed for the North Carolina climate.

  • About 12,000 square feet—large enough for all-camp games and worship, plus courts for various sports.

  • A permanent facility at the heart of camp life.

  • Built to last with minimal maintenance.

Why does QLC need an Airnasium?

  • Rainy days cause outdoor camp activities to be cancelled.

  • Summer heat limits outdoor programming.

  • On rainy and extremely hot days, all-camp activities are held in the Multipurpose Building, limiting options.

  • The Airnasium will add a sheltered space for worship and games, protect campers from extreme heat and rain, provide extra programming space, and serve the camp for generations.

The goal for the Airnasium campaign is $1.5 million.

We have already raised over half of our total fundraising goal!

The project completion date is June 2027, in time for Summer Camp!

A Campaign Committee of volunteers and staff is hard at work to make this happen.
